2014 NOAA BIG Black History Program

Greetings All Members and Friends of Blacks In Government:

It would be grand to see you at the event described below, your sisters and brothers worked very hard to produce. It would be great if we would show the NOAA Community that we stay behind our Mission, Vision, and support the efforts of one another.

In honor of Black History Month, you are cordially invited to attend the NOAA 2014 Black History Month Commemorative Program, on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at 10:00 am in the NOAA Science Center. This year’s theme is“Civil Rights In America”.

The program will include:

Melvin Deal and the African Heritage Drummers and Dancers
The Movie: Zora’s Roots, The Life of Zora Neale Hurston and
President, NOAA Chapter BIG – Salim Abddeen delivering the Keynote address

This event is open to all NOAA employees. Please obtain supervisory approval prior to attending. Sign language interpreters will be provided.
