Theresa A. Berry
Theresa A. Berry, a Federal Government employee with 40 + years of experience and expertise in the administrative and technical fields at the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the Department of Commerce (Commerce). After many years with HUD, in 1990 I relocated to Louisville, Kentucky where I gained experience with the Department of Commerce, National Weather Service (NWS) office. At the National Weather Service, I held the positions of Administrative Assistant and Meteorological Technician (promoted through the upper mobility program). Also, at the National Weather Service I served as an EEO Coordinator, I developed and structured the NWS outreach program. In 2003, I relocated back to the Washington Metropolitan area, I continued at Department of Commerce, Office of Diversity, I assisted with delivering diversity programs, opportunities, and knowledge of diversity policies and procedures to NOAA employees. Currently, a Management Analyst at NOAA with expertise in the career field of Workforce Management. I’m also the CLC Training Coordinator, I oversee the daily activities of training being widely utilized by the NOAA employees.
A born and raised Washingtonian, I attended District of Columbia Public Schools and pursued a degree at the University of the Maryland in Sociology and History. I have two adult daughters, Monique and Nataska. My personal interests are reading, watching college and professional football and basketball, and I enjoy listening and recording music from my diverse collection of over 500 CD’s.
